Taking time to paint without a specific plan is one way of developing good instincts for composition and design, and I recommend it be a part of your painting practice on a regular basis. I paint an i...

Angela who was the artist you mentioned who made the comment about perspective? Thanks for the video!
Loving this - you are very good at sharing your methods of problem solving that shape your work to your liking. Honest feelings and heartfelt enthusiasm that you bring are the most important feature of your videos. Bless You!
I totally get what you mean by allowing yourself to take up space. Being raised in the 50's as a female, it was all about people pleasing. Giving myself permission to take up space translates to my painting in such a freeing way. Thanks for talking about this mindset in such a positive way.
Hi Angela, Loved the video! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Angela! I always enjoy your videos so much! Thank you 🙂
what is the name of the pleather sketch book please?
I hear you
Boy, did I have fun;
Thank you very much!
Thx for deleting my factual comment!
?? I didn't delete any comments.
You are loud and clear
Thank you very much for getting into the procrastinating subject. I need the nudge😊
I believe that procrastination often signals the need to address some inherent fears or anxieties about my art practice - don't beat yourself up!
Hi from Lima, Perú.
I hear you great
What is the paper are you working on?
Great demo. Thanks. What is the white paint and brush you were using to define those flowers towards the end@ thanks
I have been following Angela for several years, and she has given me so much. I absolutely love the way she encourages us all to become our own favorite artist. I am taking her 4 day workshop in Sidney in August and am so excited because I know her instruction includes technique AND inspiration. Thank you Angela for all you are doing for the watercolor community. Penny Ketola
I have followed Angela for a number of years. I learn something every time I listen and watch her work. Please continue following your unique approach.
Dear Angela, what a wonderful demonstration! I love hearing about your journey again. I always love, watching you paint. The first demonstration I saw you do was a sunflower. And I’ve watched your growth since them. I think you are an amazing artist! And I have enjoyed all of your classes I have taken. I love that I own them and can do them over and over again. Thank you Angela!
Thank you ❤
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that-I-should-know-better-but-do-it-anyways!
Did I miss the part where you said what canvas/paper you were using? Thank you.
This video was beautiful and inspiring. I watched it twice, once for the art and a little of the dialogue. Second time more for what you were saying. It really captured where I am right now with my art. I’m going to watch it again and let your thoughts “soak in” more. Thank you!
This is so filled with ideas , lessons and watching your creative juices flow. It is beautiful! Thank you for your time and energy and sharing your knowledge with us.
Really enjoy your art and your teaching style.
Thank you for this inspiration! I have your new Rockwell sets and am excited to paint with them this morning!
That was amazing to watch. And your thought process as you paint always teaches me so much! Thanks Angela
Yes i love how you are thinking about art. O think your art is great!! I love how loose you are with your brush. Its hard for me to be loose with my brush I have tried it. I have followed you for a long time. I've tried to paint as you do but it just doesn't work for me. I like to paint objects. Like flowers 💐 or a shed in the forest in the winter or a beach scene 🤔. I'm getting into people now. Lolololol 😊. Happy painting 🖼. Yeah I'm doing flowers with a UA-cam Creator shes taking a flower book and painting a flower a day. Its fun 😁. JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸 .
Love watching you paint Angela. Thank you for encouraging us to paint everyday and sharing your watercolour journey ❤ p.s. I know I am the biggest obstacle, my self belief and requiring affirmation from others! 😊 p.p.s. I read all your emails👍🇦🇺
Great! Thank you for your words of encouragement. I love watching you wait for the pigment to move. You actively demonstrate the beauty of watercolor.
I like your paintings a lot but you NEVER stop talking and though I have tried painting along with you, but talk TALK. I can't focus. And you are always pitching something to buy. Those brushes when I tried to buy a couple was a horrible experience. LEBANON BRUSHES. In the end though they refuse to take my calls, which were inquires as to WHEN, HOW etc. might these paid for brushes arrive in CA. Finally they canceled my order, mailed me a 2 page letter, insulting me. Even then I asked how would I get my money back, they basically said, oh, well we don't know. To this day I do not know if I-ever even got my money back. I just gave up. But WHY DO NEED TO PITCH every product u use? Apparently you make money SELLING YOUR PAINTINGS. OR your workshops which I would not take as I not want to be told to buy this, that, now its paints. Do you ever take a breath, or do you talk all the time to your family, friends....exhausting.
You'll find most youtube artists once they get a large following can get links for those to buy what they are using. I find it helpful. I don't always buy. Her channel is part of her job and it's how she earns money doing what she loves. Not every artist resonates with everyone. I too prefer a quieter video but it is her style and I don't mind it. (Some other youtubers I mute and watch it and can still learn). ❤
This is a demo for World Watercolor Month and a way for her to both teach and speak about products she uses and has endorsed as well as her own learning platform. You got the name of the brushes wrong...Maybe it's your attitude that's the problem here🤔
I ordered those brushes and never got a confirmation email so after several emails, I got my order cancelled.
Instead of these self entitled insulting comments perhaps learn to choose your words with more care, or say nothing and move on. ...Kindness reaps kindness
I’m not a fan of really abstract art….my favorites are the florals you used to do years ago.
Hello there. You were talking about having time and resources (money). I started painting July of 2023. I have all the time in the world to paint. I do paint for hours a day. I start between 7 and 8 am. everyday. I love watercolor painting. Sometimes I feel like I will never learn. It took me a year to learn to paint a rose. I was lucky to have the money to start out. I bought Kuratake and mieliang paints. they are wonderful. I have actually sold some of my paintings. I feel like you did when you started. I still do. Can't paint landscapes at all. I can't find anyone to teach me what I need to know. The city I live in in the U.S. In a huge city. I have no clue where to start. yeah, I paint everyday but not sure if I'm doing well. Hopefully someday I will be able to paint like you but in my own way. Your an awesome painter.
Since you live in a large city, there is likely to be a watercolorist association or club. They may have workshops or classes and they may also have a list of local teachers. Also, Michael's and Hobby Lobby often have lessons too.
I think all of your art is beautiful, but I really miss the beautiful landscape demonstrations you used to do. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your painting process. I really like the brushes you use and have purchased a few that you used in your demonstrations.
Thank you so much for this video. I have a couple of Daniel Smith colors and intend to stock up, per your recommendations. I am viewing you from Kernersville, North Carolina, USA.
Angela, I love this painting! Your style has evolved in such a lovely way. I'm so grateful that you share with us. Thank you 🙂
Thank you so much for this, I was in a store this weekend and saw this application and wanted to use it on my own artwork. Question: Is this archival? Is there any concerns about the artwork changing colors or fading? Also, is this lightfast with this technique?
This is beautiful!
Love this video!!
Thank you!!
Great information and lovely painting. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this one thank you!
Lovely Angela!💜
Fabulous
Thanks Angela for sharing your skills and passion!
You are so welcome!
Loving your technique, and the beautiful Daniel Smith watercolors you use!
Thank you so much! They are great paints.
This is fantastic! I often pretend that I know what I'm doing. Thank you.
It's how all the experts operate! 😊
Beautiful scene and many details 🎉voilà The Eiffel ❤
Ah, oui! Merci beaucoup!
I very much appreciated your talk about your travel palette and why you chose the colors you use. I notice how few greens you have in that palette and I'm so spoiled with all the greens I have access to. It will be good to try mixing more. thank you, as always!
I always feel like if I have Phthalo Blue or Phthalo Turquoise, I can mix greens all day long! Thank you!
Oh how I love the views from the Arc de Triomphe! Thanks for all sharing your art and travel journeys to encourage us all to find our own way the moments and places that are special to us. You have had a big impact on my art practise and mindset. 😊💕
It was our favourite part of visiting Paris! Thank you so much!
Thankyou for your generosity in sharing your technique. I learned a lot and feel inspired 🙏🏻🩷
Glad it was helpful!
